As future events are difficult to predict, with an appropriate insurance policy we can reduce the damage of a potential loss event in the future.

There are several types of liability insurance:

  1. General liability insurance

General liability insurance covers the liability of the insured for damages that, on the basis of civil-law compensation claims, third parties file against the insured due to the sudden and unexpected occurrence of damage (accident) arising from a source of danger that results in personal injuries (bodily injuries, illnesses or death of a person) and damage to things (damage, destruction or disappearance of things). For example - in the case of a fall in a retail establishment while going shopping, under the general liability policy, the client, as a customer in that establishment - can collect his claim.

  1. Contractors professional liability insurance

It is mandatory for contractors, before the commencement of the works, to provide and maintain during the entire process insurance that covers their liability for damage that could occur to third parties in connection with the performance of their activities. Contractors professional liability insurance in construction works, in addition to damage caused to third parties, also covers damage caused to persons, to buildings and financial loss.

  1. Design liability insurance

Design liability insurance covers claims (claims for compensation) of the contracting authority or third parties, including direct financial losses to the insured, for losses caused by the professional error of the insured (a licensed person) in the technical preparation of project documentation, during technical and construction supervision and review of projects, if the error results in physical damage (destruction and/or damage) to the insured object that is being built according to the project created by the insured.

  1. Professional liability insurance

Professional liability insurance is mandatory for a large number of activities. Professional liability insurance is a legal obligation of all persons who provide professional services to third parties. This policy protects third parties who use the services of a professional in case of damage.

The subject of the insurance is the liability of the insured due to professional errors in the performance of the registered activity of the insured and the persons employed by him/her (e.g. attorney or notary trainees).

Some of the activities that are subject to mandatory professional liability insurance are: auditors, doctors and other medical personnel, designers and contractors, appraisers, public bailiffs, lawyers, notaries, court experts, insurance brokers...
